merely wishes added kisses
lips kind in their eloquence
hearts hunger in their wishes

every ticking of the clock
slung sarcastically behind me
rains modest tears, massaging throbbing muscle
absolved of impact, free from silkened calm
otherwise circling your blue
inviting, uncluttered gaze

alone, time is precious
apart, time is sad

emptied abilities drain
dryly muting prose
drilled directly from the core
… save face to face
… bar eye to eye

grip this upturned palm …

acceptance becomes embrace
listening to skin on skin, conversing
in dialects that swing and dance
simmering rhythms while gently chording
in tune, hearts beat
though louder
… Louder ticks time obsequiously

tempo strums unpredictably
resonating conviction
incarnations vie for visibility
mirrored in burnished cornea
acutely veiled in our souls
